Minimalism and slow living are still relatively new concepts to me, but the more I hear the more intrigued I am.
I first came across the duo behind The Minimalists– Joshua Field Milburn and Ryan Nicodemus in the Slow Your Home podcast on Jackrabbit.FM. The idea of living more with less is so appealing to someone like me who comes from a long line of hoarders. My family is known to hold onto everything....just in case ;)
The Minimalists – A Documentary About the Important Things was released in late 2016 and is 80 minutes of compelling viewing that will challenge the way you feel about the stuff in your life. The doco chronicles the year Joshua and Ryan travelled around the US promoting their minimalist approach to life.
Numerous interviews are included throughout the program from a range of individuals – retirees, families, couples, entrepreneurs etc, all who now subscribe to the minimalism movement.
The content of this doco is thought provoking. Joshua and Ryan strongly believe in their minimalism movement, but the doco never feels preachy. Its well worth your time.
